Fruit drink from prunes
As an ingredient for our plum fruit drink “Prune” we use selected, sun-ripened plums of the best quality. Purely after the harvest, the plums are gently dried using traditional methods without the use of sulfur. After careful processing, we obtain a full-bodied, fruity plum drink. One bottle of Prune (750 ml) contains the ingredients of around 1233 g of fresh plums in concentrated form.

What distinguishes the plum
The stone fruit enriches our menu not only as classic dishes such as plum cake or plum jam.
The gentle drying of the plums in the production process concentrates the ingredients, since we also do not use sulfur in the drying process. In addition, the fruity sweetness in the plum drink delivers a high level of enjoyment even without added sugar. This means that prune juice can be used as an alternative to sauerkraut juice and is well accepted by children and senior citizens.
Frequently asked questions
What distinguishes the fruit drink made from dried plums by Rabenhorst?
Plums are often dried using sulphur. The sulphurisation of dried fruits is supposed to preserve the colour and promote preservation. and can lead to poorer digestibility in sensitive people. At Rabenhorst, it is important to us that the valuable ingredients are preserved and that they are easily digestible. That is why we only use unsulphured prunes for our plum drink.
